Electronic Alarms and Home Security Devices - Concord 4 + DSL = phone problems

Hello All:
Having recently been fed up with paying high cable
Internet rates, I switched to DSL. Now, every so often
my TP beeps with a phone fault error (or communications
error). I have the DSL filter that the phone company gave me
but not sure how I would tie it in as the filter has an RJ-11
jack and the Concord phone module has RJ-45s. Also, I'm
not exactly sure where the filter should go in. Should I split
the main phone line coming in and plug the filtered line to
the phone module and send the unfiltered directly to my DSL
jack ? If anyone knows how to solve this, please let me know.
It's quite annoying to be awoken early morning with 3 shrill
beeps because the panel is unable to dial out.

The DSL needs a filter to isolate the phone line from each phone. A filter is used at every phone in the house.
Or you can run a filtered dedicated line from the box outside directly to your PC & eliminate the filters in the house.

There is a specific filter made for alarm applications.

They are widely available, and most DSL providers make them available. There are other brands. This one just happened to be the one in my tool bag, today.

company and see if I can get it from them. The Excelsus site
states I need to get it from them.
