Our alarm system quit working last year. We finally wised up and realized that the battery needed replacing. After replacing the battery, the alarm went off and we managed to disarmed it. We ran a test and ended up with a problem in Zone 2 = AC fail. We inquired with an alarm company and they said it sounds like the transformer is no good. Now, our second problem is we cannot locate this transformer. All "AC" panel wires go into the wall. First, does this sound correct to the first part (transformer) and second, does anyone know where we can locate this transformer? :wall:
All help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yup, sounds about right to me. The transformer is normally in an outlet somewhere near the panel. In some installs, it may be in an outlet just above the attic access.

Look for a beige or black "wall-wart" on an outlet. It may be behind a piece of furniture or an appliance.
