Does anybody know how to set the cam timming on a stihl hl 100 or fs 100. The engine is a fourstroke gasoil. the cam has three arrows on it, one facing up, and two facing opposite each other. I need to know if the cylinder needs to top dead center and the arrow location when T.D.C. Thanks

I don't know about the marks, but to time ANY 4 stroke engine, put the engine at exactly TDC, then put the cam in where both valves are closed, but if you move the engine one direction slightly, one valve begins to open and if you turn the engine slightly the other way, the other valve begins to open. This is the point where the valves "rock" and this point should coincide with the piston reaching it's upmost point in the cylinder. At this point, you'll see what marks line up where, because it will be in time.
