Maytag side by side refrigerator RSW2400CAE. Ice cubes in the freezer bin do not go into the chute to be dispensed through the door.

The chute may be blocked with ice or the auger is not turning due to ice stuck to the bottom.

I checked out the operation. The auger is turning which pushes the cubes into the chute. I noticed that the door to release the cubes does not open. There is a rod that should open the door which goes through a device on the back wall of the freezer. What should I check?
