Any tricks to removing them and what is the difference between a steel frame meant to go in steel studs or one meant to go in wood? The Salesperson asked me which it's going in. I think it's steel but what if it's wood. Thanks.

There is a recent previous post that talks about removing steel doors under this column heading.
Obvioulsy you are ordering new ones or you would not be talking to a salesperson. The key to ordering doors is to tell the salesman exactly what hole the door is going into. How thick is the wall (2x4, 2x6, metal studs) , how thick is the drywall (1/2" or 5/8") and how wide is the rough opening.
Unlike prehung wood doors, that you shim into place and trim out, steel doors are not adjustable, they are to fit specific openings with specific criteria about that opening.
Ask the salesman everything he needs to know, got back to the space where the new door is to go and answer each of the questions he gave you. Even if you have to knock a temp hole in the wall to find out.
