I have a safeguard 3000 that says change the batteries. The control panel which controls wireless detectors has never had a battery in it from the orignal install .That being said where are the batteries in the keyboard or at the detectors? What kind are they and how do I replace them.
Thanks for any help you can give me.

Could you mean _Safewatch_ 3000? If so, then the battery is in the system enclosure, normally located in a place like a closet, most commonly the master bedroom.

Yes it is a safewatch 3000 and all the detectors are wireless.
The control panel with anteneas to send signales to remote detectors never had a battery in it and now the keyboard says change batteries. Where are the batteries can it be in each detector
Thanks Mike

The system can will be about 12" x 16" and about 3" deep and generally beige in color. Often the wireless receiver has its own smaller case to allow it to be placed in a better location for reception.
In a few installations, the system enclosure with the main battery will be in places like just inside the attic access, but is most often in a closet.
