My boys would like me to build them a thing I can best describe as a self-righting water trough.
This a trough (bucket?) designed such that when it is filled to the top with water, it dumps the water out, and then rights itself to be filled with water again; and the cycle will continue as long as water is being added to the trough.
Any direction will be most appreciated!

This will be an elongated, shallow box on a pivot similar to a teeter-totter or "see-saw". The pivot will be off center. The short end will have extra weight to bring it to the level position when empty. When filled with water, the longer end will then weight more and will tip down and the water will go out. After the water goes out, it again becomes level. It will have a "stop" under the short end to hold it in the level position when empty.
Hope this makes some sense. Good luck with your project.
