So, I just bought a new house that has a brinks security system pre-installed in it.. the only problem is that not all of the wires are connected in the control panel. when I moved in a brinks person came out to my house, and went over the pricing with me.. They wanted 47 a month so that I could have their monitoring (the wireless kind - I don't use a home phone).. and she wanted me to sign a waiver that said I couldn't hold them responsible if I pushed the panic button and no one came - because I live in the "country" and the wireless signal is not that good out here- - and has been known to be down for hours at a time.. anyways.. I don't necessarily need the service.. but because I live in a new house.. none of the doors or windows squeak when you open them.. so if someone walked into my house - i wouldn't know about it.. I just want the system to beep if something is opened.. Is there somewhere that I can find a picture or instructions to show where each of the wires are supposed to go in the control panel? My user's manual says it is a bhs-3000a system. Any assistance would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Paul

Don't waste your time. Brinks hardware is highly proprietary. There is no practical way for a layman or another non-brinks technician to reprogram on of these for local use.
Your only real choice is to either deal with Brinks or replace the control and keypad(s).
