Hi:
A mid-sized shed was located a bit of 'hilly' side of our backyard. The shed was built on the top of cinder-blocks, not concrete base.

For the past years, I noticed 'dirt' pushed into the bottom of the shed that has been causing 'brownish' coloration on few areas of the floor of the shed. This occurring particularly after a long of period of rain and also after winter is over. Simply, in Mother's Nature, a dirt of two neighbors' backyards pushing into our backyard whenever there are heavy-rain and a long period of wintery weather.

Wonder how to alleviate further 'dirt' invation into the bottom of our shed?

Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You need to install a barrier to stop the rain water from pushing dirt into the shed. A retaining wall should work well but a piece of metal to sheild the bottom portion of the shed may also work.

What marksr said, or just put the shed on a concrete slab.
