I recently purchased a used Kenmore washing machine. The washer runs great, but during the drain cycle, the water coming from the drain hose goes into the walls drainage pipe and overflows, spilling water all over the floor and even damaging the drywall. My first attempt was Draino Foamer...I poured it down the drain pipe and let it sit the night. That didn't fix the problem. Then I attached a disposal connector (a rubber tube with three different widths, widest down to smallest, and two ring-clamps). I removed clamp off of the smaller end, worked the drain hose into the largest end and tightened the remaining (upper) clamp. Because of the smaller opening, the waterflow was restricted and therefor didn't fill the drain pipe all of the way to overflowing.
The disposal connector can be found at Home Depot in the plumbing/toilet section. Dearborn Brass Part# HD7983C.
I hope this helps save all of you do-it-yourselfers some time and money on replacement parts and drywall.

That may work for a while but there is a restriction in the drain pipe someplace down stream. Probably the washer won't drain after a while.
