Here's one.

I have a brand new Hunter Douglas Power Rise duette at the size of 62 X 96. It is intalled 22 feet up. Because it is brand new, out of the box, it uses HD's radio frequency remote instead of the older IR technology.

The problem is when the shade is lowering it gets all the way down to about 10" from the bottom, then stops. Same thing every time. Its not binding, the route cords are not tangled inside, it doesnt slow to a stop. It just stops instantly. Batteries are also new Energizer "Industrial" models(never seen before).

If I ever so, so, so gently assist the shade by pulling slightly as it lowers, it will pass this stop and lower all the way.
Or, if I hit the down button on the remote repeatedly, it will drop about 1/4" at a time from this stopping point.

It will raise flawlessly to the top from any length.

I have already tried many times to clear any memory stops there may have been programmed, and used a paperclip to reset the remote and the "group" arrangements.

What do you think I should have tried next? Do you think the fabric needs to hang out, and relax the new crisp pleats that could be tricking the shade into thinking its all the way down? I was stumped, so hopefully you can help with an idea.

I will be talking to the vendor about it during the week, but maybe you can give me a suggestion sooner to help fix it on the site instead of sending it back.

Thanks.

Hmmm, what happened here?

This was a question that was posted as a reply on another thread, started by our new blind expert. They said to ask ANY question I had on blinds, so I thought I would toss them a doozy.

One of the mods probably moved it to its own thread. Always start your own thread when you pose a question. It cuts down on the confusion factor.
Now it may be seen by even more people. Thats a good thing.

I confess it was me. As Gunguy opined, I moved it to it's own thread. Also I've closed the other thread to avoid this. That member was just announcing their presence and willingness to provide help, but all questions should be directed via a new thread.

Also the member originally had a website link in the post which is not allowed and had to be edited out. I wouldn't take any bets that they will be back.

have you tried holding the down button down for 5 seconds? this will clear any memory that was mistakingly set

Yep BLD, that was the first thing I tried. In fact, it was also the second, third, and fourth thing as well.:) Didnt change.

This was right out of the box, so there shouldnt have been any stops already set. Many times my customers mistakenly set a stop by pressing and holding the remote button during operation. But, in this case the first user was me.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Maybe badbunny73 will be back to take a stab at this?
It would be good to finally have an expert with a lot of experience in the window blind industry around to help us.

I wouldn't hold my breathe; as her initial post contained a link, the suspicion would be she was trolling for business. Badbunny, my apologies if I've misjudged your intent.
