Hi. I have 2 small rose bushes I'm planning on planting. One yellow & one pink. I was thinking about trying to graft them together. Is it possible to cut them in half & graft the roots & stems of half of one plant to the roots & stems to half of the other? Most of the material I've found on grafting have said to graft stems to roots, so is my idea even possible??
Thanks!!

Some gardeners are more experimental than others. Good for you for being up to a challenge. You should be able to accomplish what you want to do as long as the bushes you have are hardy for your zone. My hat is off to you. My grandfather had apples and pears growing on the same tree!

Thank you for the link twelvepole! My inspiration is actually my grandfather as well. He used to graft all sorts of things and had some very interesting successes!
