Ok, I have an older dryer with five hookups for wires on the back, 3 of them labeled green white black. the other two are blank and seem to not be used. but, the cord i had to buy to fit my wall, has 4 hook ups, 3 of them labeled green white black.
Where do i put the fourth wire hookup on the back of my dryer, im unsure since its not labeled anywhere.
i doubt ill be able to find this again so please get back to me at heffjarwood@hotmail.com if you have any idea. thank you!

On the dryer, you will see a "Jumper " from the "Case" to the neutral terminal. This must be "Removed"--(Keep it in a safe place if you ever need to put it back).
The four wire cord will likely have Green , white, black , and Red.
Red and black replace the white and black on the dryer, white goes to the green on the dryer, and the green from the cord goes to the case ..where you removed the Jumper.
Get the model # off of the dryer, And go to the MFR's website......They will have the necessary installation instructions on the site for you...
