Hi, does anyone know how I would go about setting up a motion sensor in the garage which is also our primary entrance. Ideally, we don't want it to go off as soon as it sees our car because we have only a 30 sec delay... And what zone do I program that as? A perimeter zone?
I have ademco 20p panel and the motions are ademco's 35x45 pet immune (the cheap little ones).
Thanks for any help.

This is where you need to use the configurable zone type to create a interior type zone with a delay set to the second delay timer, which you set for a long enough delay time to exit the vehicle and get to the keypad (1 min is probably enough, unless you have mobility issues).
