I need to replace a decayed wooden stoop that rests on a poured pad 4" thick. I would like to replace it with a concrete stoop. Can I form on top of the pad without digging out a footer? The new footer would consist of 2 steps and a landing about 20" high.
The stoop is on the north side of the house and I would really like to incorporate a frost free system to the concrete landing and steps to keep from icing up.
