Looking to put an addition on the back of our house to add a family room. The house is approximately 25' wide. Would be converting our back patio which is 18w x 14d.
Does this seem large enough? With the space only being 2/3 of the house would this floor plan look odd to a potential buyer down the road?
We have decent sized yard and adding the full width of the house would change the landscape considerably (relocating sprinklers, trees, plants, etc.)

Can't address the idea of whether it will look odd. My parents added a family room many years ago. It's 16x14' with a considerable portion of the room taken up by a corner fireplace. Still room for a tv, stereo, couch, two recliners, coffee table and two end tables.
