Hi,
I am planning on laying flagstone over my existing concrete slab, however, the concrete is painted and I was wondering if that presents any problems. The paint is in fairly poor shape but it would be a serious endeavor to remove it all if that is necessary. Will the paint prevent a good bond with the mortar? If I need to remove the paint does anyone have suggestions on how best to do that?
Thanks,
Matt

pressure washer. then your good use as thick of mortar (dry) as possible then lightly tap the rock into place after placement grout the joints, be carefull the grout will be hard to clean off without damaging the face of the rocks, it would be helpfull to dry place the rocks first to check the layout. then remove in order you want to lay them.
