Just a note to say thanks to previous bloggers (posters, writers?) who left info on changing pads in an evaporative cooler. My husband took care of all those things until he fell and broke his hip. Now, it has been very hard for me to know what to do or how. So your advice about using the screwdriver to pry off the wire cover on the pads really helped. Having a hard plastic cooler made it even easier, and my husband was able to help me enough that we got the job done today! So this is a post to say, HUSBANDS, TEACH YOUR WIVES HOW TO DO THESE TYPES OF THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE, ESPECIALLY TEACH THEM HOW TO USE A YANKEE SCREWDRIVER, as that has helped me the most!
