Has anyone worked with the Elk 980 phone line monitor with the Concord 4. Elk 980 monitors for phone line disruption. Wondering about compatibility and function. this unit draws 30 ma. I would like to power through the Concord 4 panel. Looks like through lug 3 & 4 on the panel. anyone see any probs with this?

Waste of money, in this case. That function is built into the Concord 4 panel (as do nearly all alarm communicators). The ELK 980 is intended to be a standalone line monitor, or for the rare older system that didn't monitor the phone lines.

I've seen that and it is set. I would like something to trip the alarm when lines are disrupted, not just a chirp. Can this be programmed? If not I am back to the previous question. and I appreciate your help.

Yes. You'll have to program the output you wire the siren to to the trigger number of 231 (followed by the 2 digit response time), which is for phone failure.

GEGUY you're a genius. It looks however like i am limited to 1 configuration number per output. So, for example, if I want to program Ouput 1 to siren immediately I use 00410. Then I can't configure it to siren if the phone lines are cut 23110. Is that correct? I am limited to only one code per output? If not, how do I enter multiple codes per output?

Yes, one configuration number per output...You could wire another siren to output 2...Limited to 300mA
