We are just finishing up our bathroom and are having a difficult time deciding on paint color and techniques. Our shower is an onyx collection shower and it looks like a shiny marble with many different colors in it. It is awesome. The problem with it though is that it has many different color variations in it and trying to match the paint is the hardest thing we have done when it comes to painting. We are getting closer but man this takes some time.
My question is actually about the ceiling and the baseboard. Our ceilings in this room are low. Seven feet to be exact. What would be the best way to keep the room from becoming shorter? Would it be better to paint the baseboard the same color as the wall to bring it all the way to the floor or to paint it a lighter color on the same paint chip?
As for the ceiling what would be the best color there also? Thanks.

White or an off white would probably be best on the ceiling. Light colors help to minimize the effects of a small space. Painting the walls and woodwork the same color also help. The more contrast you have the more you will notice the small size of the room.

That's what we were thinking. Thanks for the advice.
