2" x 6" pine tongue and groove between ceiling living area and attic subfloor. The attic subfloor will be insulated with R-30 fiberglass insulation. The Attic subfloor will have 3/4" tongue and groove plywood.
The question is will I need a vapor barrier above the ceiling between the attic subfloor and celing tonque and groove?
Would 6 mil plastic work or will I need some type of other vapor wrap, like tyvek?

What's the ceiling look like? If its a painted ceiling, does it have oil primer beneath the final coat? That alone may suffice as a vapor barrier. If not, you may find it expedient to repaint your downstairs ceilings.

The celing tongue and groove will have a wood sealer in ceiling area.
