i just installed a door to close off the utility room of our very small house....in this room is the gas heater, h2o heater, and laundry.
when i first did this, the heat kicked on and the pressure in the newly enclosed room dropped dramatically...the pilot light to the h2o heater went out and something had to be replaced on the regular air heater (not sure what....service tech did this....and this is my question)
since then, i installed a large vent in the new door and have had no problems till last night when the laundry drier was also on....could this be the same problem? and is it fixable by a simple new component? any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks, but i actually got it taken care of....it is a carrier gas furnace (not sure on the model or anything else specific), but what i will say in case it helps anyone in the future is that the furnace was flashing a 3-1 code which indicated a flow problem (hence the door issue)...what needed to be done was to reset this brown button....i am not a heating tech, so i have no idea on the terminology, but it was mounted towards the top of the inside of the heater....where the gas goes in...that was as simple as that....
the door has been taken down!
thanks for your help...

Install fresh air vents from the outside to the utility room. Two 7" would be sufficiant then put your door back.
