I have a GC1002 automatic gate opener that has gone faulty. I have to keep resetting it to get it to operate. The control board has a 40 pin IC but the code is erased. It how ever has a label stuck on which reads SW1.22-2004. Does any one know the IC model number? I need to test before looking for a replacement unit.

These gate opener controls are pretty specific to the maker. They aren't generic components. Have you tried contacting GateCrafters directly? It may be something as simple as the backup battery for the controller memory failing.
