Hi, First post here after reading a bunch. I have a Comfortmaker AG048GB2 Central AC unit about 10 years old. Runs fine, cools great, but after the compressor shuts off, around 1 to 2 minutes later, a high pitched noise comes from the compressor. The fan blades have already stopped moving and the sound definitely is coming from inside the compressor. Any thoughts of what this is?

I suspect it's the compressor valves leaking back to the low side.
