I have a concord 4 connected to a NextAlarm ABN unit (their VOIP router so that I can have my system monitored over the internet). When I run a phone communication test on my system, it fails every time. Here's the weird thing -- on the online log at NextAlarm it shows "Manual Trigger Test", which means that my system successfully dialed out and reported. I have also set off the alarm a few times on purpose and each time it shows up correctly on the NextAlarm log.
Why does my Concord think that it can't communicate when it clearly can? I would love to get this sorted out so that I can have it automatically test communications every day.

There is a confirmation signal from the receiver called a "kiss off" that is probably what your panel is not receiving back. Without it, the panel has no way of knowing that it successfully communicated. Either the ABN device connection is not getting the 2-way communication right, or something else is going on.

That's for the tip. It looks like you are correct...NextAlarm's reply is not being received by the ABN. NextAlarm has a feature where you can dial into your ABN via a phone -- I was not able to do this either. I have port forwarding setup, but it doesn't appear to be working correctly. Looks like I need to consult one of my IT buddies...
