We recently bought a home with the Ademco Vista 10SE (I think anyway). No documentation was left and it took me weeks to figure out what the Installer Code was to set up a Master Code. All of the sensors are wireless and the batteries in them were all dead. Last weekend I shelled out the $60 for new batteries (dang those 123 things are pricey). The door sensors work great, but the two motion detectors (Ademco 5890) are not doing anything. I set the jumper to test on one of them and the LED turned on each time I moved something in front of it. When I put it on the normal mode the LED doesn't turn on when something moves in the room, and the panel doesn't seem to be picking up the motion sensor. Any thoughts to get these motion sensors working?
Cheers,
Scott

With the system disarmed, the motions will turn off for a period of time to save the batteries and to prevent it from going on everytime someone walks by.
Put your system in test mode by pressing: (code) + 5
When you walk past the detector now, your pad should beep.
If you want to make sure it triggers the entire alarm: (code) + 4 (Max) and give it a few seconds to activate
The detectors are prolly working just fine.
Here's some manuals and installer instructions:

The LED on wireless motions don't come on during normal usage (except in test mode)...Saves on the battery this way.
