Hello all. Any suggestions for a good sealer that could be used immediately on pressure treated lumber prior to staining or painting?? I had used Wolman clear water repellent in the past with great results as far as minimizing warping but it's no longer sold at my local hardware store. The project I'm working on is facing south and is going to be blasted by the sun all day. Perfect situation for twisting up all the wet lumber. I plan on staining with Cabot but the moisture content of the wood isn't anywhere near what cabot recommends prior to staining. thanks

Maybe one of the deck guys knows of a green lumber sealer, but my experience with PT lumber is that it is usually real wet and should not be sealed/stained or painted until it dries for at least a couple of months. I always wait at least 6 months before staining.

I think Flood makes a sealer that supposedly can be used on wet/green lumber........ but I've always let it weather and dry some before staining/sealing.
Are you not expecting your nails/screws to hold the lumber in place?

I can't see how putting anything on now would make a difference in how/whether it warped.

It's wood and it's going to warp/twist as it dries unless you have it achored in place so it can't. Sealing it isn't going to add any resistance to it's tendency to warp/twist.
