I have a Carrier Weathermaker 8000 outside unit that is resting on a hard plastic pad that has cracked and is not level. I would like to pour a reinforced concrete pad but am unsure how best to lift the AC unit. Question: are there lifting brackets that can be installed, are there holes for hooks underneath the unit, am I going to have to slide lifting bars underneath (and does the unit support that?), or what?

You'll need to call someone (EPA certified) for this.

The unit will have to be pumped down, the refrigerant lines cut and the unit removed to make room for the concrete pouring. Then, once the concrete has cured, the unit goes back on top of it, a new filter drier is added, the lines will have to be brazed back, the system leak-pressure-tested, dehydrated, and finally put back to work.
