Hi all, I have Hunter ceiling fan in my kids rooms. It is connected to a celing fan control speed switch with three positions. The problem is that at low speeds, it hums pretty loud. Is there anything that can be done about that? Thanks in advance.
PS: I don't know if this matters, the light is on another switch(dimmer). Thanks!

First, verify that the control is made by Hunter and designed to control exactly this same model of fan. Hopefully, the control came in the same box as the fan.

Also verify that nothing else controls this fan (e.g., such as it being downstream from a dimmer switch).

Then verify that if this fan has pull chains, that the pull chain switch is set to the "High" position (you have to do this by trial and error since there are no labels).

Then call Hunter's customer service. They have excellent customer service.

Some of the fan speed controller do have " dehummer" verison as well but check with the manufacter to make sure they allow to use this item.

The dehummer will useally almost complety elemated the humming noise almost like noise filter if you get my drift.

Some of the Bigbox store may stock this item on hand.
