I had a air condition guy check my units (2) before the summer in the master bedroom is where the access is for one air handler. He noticed dead termites (sub or dry ) I'm trying to decided, Some were in the dry AC pan some were just on the insulation scattered. Nothing alive. Nothing on the other side of the house in the 2nd access with the other AC unit I going to call a pest control tomorrow. Just wondering is this a major concern

It could be of concern. Termites can do alot of damage. Better to have it checked thoroughly.

Never lived where there were dry wood termites. You live in new construction. I assume they require termite treatment there for subterranean termiites that create the obvious mud tubes up the walls and pillars of foundations. Dry wood termites are more secretive. From what I recall, these critters are flyers and don't come up out of the ground. They can settle into an attic joist or other piece of the structure. Colonies thus tend to be small and localized. If detected early, treatment is localized. If extensive, pros do expensive, whole house fumigation.

If you live where dry wood termites exist, then you must be ever vigilant for signs of wings, fecal pellets, swarms. and brown plugs. The dry wood termites are much more complicated than subterraneans with their obvious mud tubes that come up out of the soil. Dry wood termites do not need a source of moisture like the subterraneans. They usually occur in climes where there are no freezing temps.
