In changing the single light switch in my parents new mobile home, i see that there are 3 seperate romex wires(blk,wht)only. one of the wires is connected in some way to the hall bathroom because when the wire popped out-, the bathroom light would not come on. They are all on this push fixture, so that I have no idea what to do by just looking. I bought a 3way switch to install in its place although I will not be using an alternate on/off location. Can I use this 3 way switch to replace the original, or what should I do?

You can use the 3 way switch but however it will be better to get single pole verison to make it look better.

Unforetally the mobile home have pretty much standard way do with the switches and repectales they are backstabbed that is pretty much standard with most mobile home manufacter done that for long time.

for the luminaires it can happend too if the wire spices is not properly tightend [ i did see that happend once a while ]

but once you open the switch box you can change from backstabbed to screw in to advoid alot issue with failure with this.
