Hi everyone: very new to this board an forum but have watched DIY shows for years.
We were up in Binghamton NY a couple of weeks ago and saw something really pretty. Glass bircks that had a hole drilled out on the top with those small christmas lighs stuffed inside. They then had flowers painted on the front of them. I bought 3 blocks, a Bosch diamond carbide drill bit set and am wondering how to go abut drilling the holes. Should I start small working my way up to the size hole I want? Tape the area first. Yes, I do have the drill already, lol.
Also what kind of paint can I use on glass where light will show through. Probably an acrylic but not sure?

1/2" diamond drill bit is recommended. Carbide bit with arrowhead tip will take longer. Wear goggles.
