Hello everyone!
I am gearing up to build a 12'x16' shed. I'm debating on whether to do and asphalt shingle roof or use clear corrugated roof panels. I'm very unfamilair with corrugated panels; ease of intall, cost, life, etc.
If you can give me any information on this, it would be much appreciated!
Thanks!
Robbie

Roofing panels, like shingles, are available in various grades. The better grades cost approximately $120 per square. Shingles are less. Panels are lighter weight. Panels, in my opinion, are more difficult to install correctly. Shingles need a solid deck surface while panels can be installed on a grid. Panels can be installed on a lower roof pitch than shingles.
Just my thoughts. Good luck with your project.

Ken, thanks for your reply. Do you know how many square feet a "square" covers? Do you have any experiece with the clear panels? I'm wondering of they fade and yellow over time. I'd like to use them because they let the natural light in.

A "square' is 100 square feet.
I do not have long term experience with panels; however, I have just used them for a 12x20 deck cover.
If you want more of a "country" look, you could consider metal roofing panels.
If I were building a shed, I would use shingles to match my house shingles. Just my thoughts. Hope this helps.

I think I'll go with shingles. I'll only need 3 squares, so that'll be fairly inexpensive.
Thanks for the help and advice, Ken!
