One switch control 3 potlights over my kitchen island. Wife wants me to replace the middle pot light with a chandelier. I removed the middle potlight and all I see is just the 2 wires that connect to a halogen lamp. If it can be done how do I go about hanging this?

How big the recessed can?
Is this is a line voltage verison or low voltage verison?
Is the can is remodel type or regualr style can ??
once we get little more info then might able give you some idea how to change over.
Merci,Marc

Most likely you will need to replace the old recessed with an old work fan brace. Some old work boxes are not listed for fixture support since so much depends on the ceiling material.
