 Hello! I know nothing about A/Cs! My condo A/C has two parts, one outside and one in the ceiling outside of the bathroom (along with various vents throughout the condo.

The ceiling part is leaking water - and I am reading the posts about drip pains and drain pipes, but I wouldn't know where to begin. The ceiling has a large metal cover with vents, and when I take that off, there is a large filter-type thing. Take that off and I have no idea what I am looking at.

Am I destined for a repair man, and if so, will it be expensive to fix? Does anyone want to take a stab at helping me DIY - I would really appreciate it!

If you can determine where the drain terminates you could try a shop vac to suck it out other than that you will have to get up in the ceiling.

It is a condominium but was originally an apartment - typical apartment a/c setup.
