15 old deck. it has been cleaned, restained several times and still looks like the dickens after one summer. my question is....can i paint it with porch paint? it's just gotten tooo expensive to have work done on it every year. all that labor, all that material to naught! please help

I wouldn't use paint! While it last longer, it will start to peel at some point :eek: it also requires a primer coat. A solid stain looks similiar to paint but usually doesn't require priming and seldom peels.
As always the longest lasting coatings will be found at your local paint store - not a big box paint dept.
