My old thermostat is a Carrier Comfort model (non-programmable). I purchased a new "Rona" model.
Before installing I turned off the heat and A/C, and Fan (from the old thermostat)- and also turned off the A/C and Fan using the circuit break.
I recorded the wires and how they were connected (Green, Orange, Black, Blue and Red).
After removing the old unit I connected the new unit - unfortunately nothing worked - no control of heat and couldn't turn the A/C or fan on.
Since it was getting late I reconnected the old unit - exactly as it was before. My problem is this: I no longer have any control - the heat is on (radiating from baseboard) and can't be turned off, the fan doesn't come or nor does the A/C.
Any thoughts would be appreciated? The current thermostat (one that worked before, http://www.docs.hvacpartners.com/idc/groups/public/documents/techlit/omtstat-38.pdf, doesn't seem to have a "reset" button or anything to kick the system back to normal).
Thank you in advance

What do you have for heating??? You stated Orange, I'm guessing that is on O the t-stat? That is used for heat pump system..
Rona? Never heard of that brand.. Why a new stat?
