Hi
I have total 10 tube lights in 2 car garage. I norder to save electricity and my $$$ to PG&E, I would like to put a timer so I can control how long does lights are ON.

Let me know if anyone has done this before and/or any tips.

Thanks
- Josh

Replace the wall switch with an in-wall timer (http://www.intermatic.com/?action=prod&pid=460).

Power must be at the switch in order for this to work.

or you can add a motion sensor switch it will come on when you get in the garage and it will turn off by X amount of minutes there are quite few diffrent verson you can choose from but make sure you get one that can work with flourscent luminires [ dont get very cheap one some of them will not work with flourscent luminaires at all ]

some of the big box store will stock this item

i know Wattstopper is common brand and there are few others as well.

Merci,Marc

Keep in mind that fluorescent lights works best when turned on and left on for extended periods. If you will be coming back in 10 minutes, leave the lights on. Not coming back for 4 or 5 hours, turn them off.

I'm curious though, why you need a timer, are you forgetting to turn them off at the end of the day?
