Hello,
I just wanted to run my plans past the experts to see if it sounds about right. I'm in Ontario, Canada.
The fixtures include a pair of 60W incandescent wall sconces and a Halogen ceiling fixture with a 75W lamp in the centre and four 20W 'satellite' lamps spread out. The central lamp can be controlled separately from the satellite lamps.
The switch I am using is actually three switches all bundled into a multi-controller switch assembly Leviton #1755 that fits in a 2 gang box.
So here is my plan:
Starting at the panel, I'm using a 15A breaker. Run 14/2 NM-B through the basement and up to the switch. Attach the hot (black) wire to the hot (black) screw on the multi-control switch.
This is where I branch stuff off, but maybe you have a better idea.
I am going to run 14/3 AC to the central light and 14/2 AC to the sconces - I'm running it up through my attic. I'll join the common (white) of the 14/3 and new 14/2 to the common (white) of the incoming 14/2. I'll attach the 14/3 hots (black & red) to two of the silver screws on the switch and connect the new 14/2 hot (black) to the last silver screw.
All of the grounds will be connected and both the switch and metal box will be connected to ground.
The 14/3 will terminate at the light according to the wiring instructions provided with the light.
The 14/2 I'll run to a junction box in the attic between the two sconces and run 14/2 for each sconce from there.
Does that sound okay? Does the plan sound overly complicated? Anything I'm missing?

Sounds OK. Depending on the layout you might want to eliminate the junction box and go direct to one sconce and then to the other.
