replaced compressor due to burn out. Low input voltage damaged contactor and compressor failed 4 days later. Replaced compressor, biflow drier and added suction drier.Added acid away and ran system to charge.Seemed ok until we switced it to heat. Discharge pressure went to 400+ pulled disconnect to stop damage. Replaced bi flow drier and cut old ones apart. Found nothing inside to indicate any problem. Checked inside coil and fan speed, every thing was good. We then switched back to a/c and pressures were not perfect but ok. We shut off system and noticed how slow the pressures were to equalize, about 10 minutes. The tech at that point told me to replace entire system.
Lennox 2.5 ton txv system
copeland compressor
pressures today at 77 degrees
suction 49
discharge 215

Thats why it pays to have a time delay on any unit.
Was it a burn out???? for sure.
Where both driers the right ones for a heat pump????
until we switced it to heat. Discharge pressure went to 400+
Is TXV valve in the outdoor unit ok???The SOV valve ok on heat?? did it go to heat
Out of the box here--- Id say you have many ifs ifs here. Not sure what to say. If you go new unit. Make sure and clean all lines and coil inside

I'd look closely at the TXV in the outdoor unit.
