I have a ceiling fan in my dining room and the pull chain came out of it...now I cannot turn on the fan due to this. Can someone please tell me how to fix this so I can get the chain reattached and use the fan?

Remove the switch where the chain went into the fan. Take it to your lighting or home center and buy an exact replacement. Carefully record the wiring connections before disconnecting the old switch from the fan.
