Just like the title says I've got a woodpecker living in my outside wall. I think there are 2 a male and female. I've put up garbage bags over most holes and some shiny streamers but thats not really working... There is also a" special" woodpecker bird house that the little monster won't use either... Anyone got any good ideas? These two are pretty tied to my house it looks like... I've thought maybe getting a large piece of netting put up when I think they are outside.?

So Woody has gotten married and set up housekeeping at your place! Has he had the telephone and cable installed?

Contact your local wildlife control agency re: your problem. Woodpeckers are protected by Federal law.

If you put up netting while Mr. and Mrs. Woody are out, I think Woody will have something to say about your keeping him from the kids.

I would follow twelvepole's advice...contact the Canadian
Wildlife Authority.

In Canada, as in the US, woodpeckers are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.
