Im currently rebuilding a ground level deck, on the deck there is a cental AC/heating unit that has a hose that runs along the back of my house. the old owners used a gutter to protect the hose, but im really not to fond of the look. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello and welcome to the DIY Forums.

What is the length of the hose? Can you relocate the air handler? Are you able to run the hose under the new deck?

Perhaps, if you would give some more details and a picture, it would be easier to give you a suggestion:)

To post a photo, upload your pictures to a host site (Picasa if you have a Google account works great. Photobucket is good as well) Then put the link here. (Or you can use the insert picture icon- it is just above where we type and looks like a mountain with a sun.)

If you have a split system central a/c system the unit on the deck will be the outdoor condensing unit and the "hose" will be the refrigerant lines.

You can buy pre-made covers or someone could split a piece of ABS drain line in half if you like black or PVC water line if you like white.

Here is one type you can buy but you would likely have to search this product out from a commercial source or dealer.
