We have done all of our re-wiring in an old house. We have already wired 2 bedrooms that included a ceiling fan/light. We are having trouble with the living room ceiling fan/light and outside light. We have the power coming into the living room light fixture/box and the wires going out to the receptacles and also to the light switch. They all come out of the light fixture. I believe we used 14 ga with the black/white/ground, 14/2 I think. We have the wire (actually 2 cables) from the light fixture box going into the switch box (which is one of those that has a switch on the bottom and one on the top), one wire is for our LR light and the other wire is for the outside light, then we have 1 wire/cable going to the outside light fixture from in the switch. Our living room light and the fan work, but every time we flip the switch that is for the outside light it trips the breaker. I know it is probably a simple solution. Can someone help?
