Does anyone know a way to keep coyotes from the general area of my yard? They seem to be getting more brave, last night I saw them in the woods about 50 yards behind my house. I would hate to have any of my 3 dogs confront them.

Control measures for coyotes in the landscape will depend on where you live. Contact your State Fish and Wildlife Agency, Conservation Department, or Department of Natural Resources for your area's restrictions, laws, and regulations.
Some areas allow shooting. Denning (killing adults and pups in the den, be allowed. Trapping is very effective. If the affected area is the area around your home, motion sensor sprinklers will send coyotes and other critters packing.

My choice would be motion sprinklers, placed so they stay outside the perimeter of your property and your dogs inside don't get sprayed.
