I'm currently renovating my bathroom. House is a 1950's cape cod, block construction with brick veneer. The exterior wall has felt paper over the block, with 3/4" furring strips over that. What is the best way to attach 3/4" rigid insulation to this wall? Would this create a moisture problem as there'd be no air gap between the block wall and drywall?
Second question, I'd like to add insulation to the interior walls as a soundproofing layer. What is the best option here, and do I need to worry about the Kraft vapor barrier against the vapor barrier in the tub surround?
