I have a home in Florida that was built on a slab in 1990. One of the three toilets flush fine but the other two don't. Occasionally they don't seem to have enough suction to empty the waste in the bowl. If anyone is familiar with the problem, i would appreciate it very much if you could tell me the probable cause or causes and their remedies. Thanks in advance!

Check for calcium deposits under the rim and at the siphon jet area. Soak with CLR or similar. But the year you give suggests that these may just be bad 1.6 gal toilets. They were new then and some just did not work well, even when new, and they do not improve with age.

I would check the vent pipe for an obstruction. If the toilets all share a single vent, there may be an internal blockage preventing proper airflow.
Is this a two story building? If so, is it the toilet on the 2nd floor that is working?

edtheunixguy & Just Bill....Thanks for your inputs, I really appreciated them. While I was waiting for replies I decided to check the water level in the two tanks. They both appeared to be just a little below the water line so I added about 1/2" of water to both of them and it seems to have solved the problem. Thankfully the solution to a problem is sometimes very simple. Thanks again...buzcar
