The lamp I purchased has a three way switch on it. Would there be a problem if I just used a 40 watt bulb and not a three way bulb?

I had three ceiling fans installed. Each has four candelabra lights and have 60 watts a peice. I unscrewed two of the lights because it is much too much light. I have a dimmer switch on one of the fans. What would be the lowest watt possible that I could use with the dimmer switch?

the min of wattage is pretty low with common dimmer they can actally dim the nitelite.

however there one thing you have to becarefull with the dimmers is that you dont use the dimmer to control the ceiling fan [ this is a good way to run a nice ceiling fan ]

the quickest way is verify the switch box location to see how many wires are in there and how it hook up becasue sometime if you have switch loop this will get tricky with it.

the other option is you can add a remote reciver dimmer / fan speed control module and use the remote control to dim the light and fan as well.

but just watch the room in the fan capony cap some of them just don't have any room to install the device.
