My sister painted me a gorgeous painting on canvas that would look excellent in our new bathroom. The problem is the spot I have for it is only about 1 1/2 to 2 feet from the shower head and I'm worried some water may spray if someone leaves the curtain open a little or that it will get moist if someone forgets to turn the exhaust fan on. Will this be a problem for the painting and if so, is there a way to protect it without putting it behind glass?

Regardless of the medium used (oil, watercolors, etc.) there is a fixative made to protect the surface.

Talk with your sister concerning the proper protection for her work.
