lawn boy wont start. i checked spark plud, air filter, coil. what should the coil gap be. does anybody know.

Please post the Model number, is it 2-cycle, 4-cycle, OMC, Tec, Honda. The old LB's were 2cycle with OMC engines but have since changed to Tec and then Honda. If I am wrong someone will correct me. So we need to know what engine is on the mower. Have a good one. Geo

It is a dura force 6.5 hp engine. 2 - cycle. silver pro series. Model #10323. Bought this mower about 2 years ago.maybe this info will help. was in a hurry when i posted first time. thanks for the reply

Have you removed the coil (reason for checking the coil gap)? Have you checked for spark?

Yes I have removed the coil to make sure it wasn't open. measured about 6 megsohms. last time i used two paper widths (about .006inches) and the mower started. this time that isn't working.
